This cocktail recipe was posted on Oh So Beautiful Paper a few weeks ago, and I tried it out for World Gin Day. In my personal opinion, adding St-Germain to anything makes it taste delicious, but this mix between the gin and tonic and French 75 was pretty special.
The French Ricky
2 oz of gin
1 oz of St-Germain
A few strawberries, hulled and quartered (number depending on size)
1. Add gin and St-Germaine to a cocktail glass (probably looks best in a tumbler, but I went for a slightly taller one)
2. Add half a lime and muddle well
3. Squeeze a few strawberries gently to release some of the juice, add to the glass, but don't muddle
4. Fill with ice and top up with tonic water.
5. Drink and repeat.
This has quickly become my new favourite cocktail and is really great for summer strawberry season. Enjoy!
