While wandering in the Liberty stationery room,
(as I have been known to do)
I couldn't help but notice these quirky little fold-away maps and guides
(You Are Here - The best places to meet and work in London)
Each map recommends a number of places around the applicable city
that is relevant to the theme of the map, with a short description, and the maps
themselves are generally graphic beauties.
(Writing London - Whistle-stop tour of literary London)
(Untamed London - Where nature still runs wild in the big city)
(May We Help You - The best specialist suppliers in London)
(Clandestine London - Conduct business away from prying eyes)
These gems are priced really well too - with each map at £4
and the whole London Collection for £24.
While Liberty only stocked the London Collection, the shop on the Herb Lester website
contains many more destinations, including a New York City Collection, Austin,
Berlin, Chicago, Paris and Barcelona. I definitely think the Amsterdam map is on my list.
I'm bringing one of these with me the next time I need something new to explore.
